Recently a report surfaced on LinkedIn regarding the INOVA Schar Cancer Institute in Fairfax, VA. This report indicates that the INOVA Schar was named the “2019 Best Health Care Project” by Engineering News Record (ENR) MidAtlantic.

The construction layout for this project was completed by Triad Engineering’s survey division and we are proud to have been chosen by Clark Construction Group, LLC as their contractor for this high-profile project. “Working with CCG on this project was an honor and a privilege,” said Kevin D. Shreiner, LS, PS, Survey Manager in the Eastern Region. “The site managers and superintendents were communicative and professional throughout.” Construction started in 2016 with a building addition, then moved to the innovative Proton Therapy building, and then to a new parking garage and parking lot. Triad was there every step of the process providing survey layout and grade sheets to assist CCG.

An interesting piece of this project was the new above-ground parking garage, which was constructed on top of an old underground garage. The as-built for this project was recently completed and the facility is incredible. Great job to all involved!
