This project was a recipient of a Governor’s Citation from the State of Maryland in recognition of the first LEED Platinum School in Maryland and a Green Advantage Environmental Certification for exemplary commitment to use of Green Advantage Certified Personnel. As part of the civil/site design for the school, we used an innovative approach to design sustainable stormwater management solutions including rain gardens, grass channels, a roof garden, and a cistern to collect roof runoff. Other features included in the site design are native landscaping and reflective concrete pavement.
