BACK ROAD REPAIR, DESIGN-BUILD, EMERGENCY RESPONSE

In the Spring of 2018, several major flooding events damaged roadways and bridges throughout Washington County, MD. Back Road was washed away and suffered significant damage. The County contracted for the repair of the damaged roadway using the design-build methodology.

The project scope included design and construction of a concrete roadway, ~525 linear feet to act as a low water crossing to accommodate the flow of water overtopping the roadway. The scope of work also included channel repair and stabilization measures of a natural stream. Additionally, there was a need for roadway shoulder repairs for ~725 liner feet of roadway.. US 522 BERKELEY SPRINGS BYPASS

Triad Engineering, Inc. provided Professional Survey Services for the design and engineering associated with the Berkeley Springs Bypass in Morgan County, West Virginia. The project involved providing design surveys for a proposed new highway (U.S. Route 522) near Berkeley Springs, West Virginia.

There were three proposed project limit corridors to be assessed. The primary corridor consisted of 109 acres, the first alternative corridor contained 20 acres and the 2nd alternative corridor contained 25 acres.
