Veterans Outreach of Pennsylvania (VOPA) Tiny Homes and Community Building project

We’re thrilled to share this incredible project: the !
Thanks to the generosity of donors and the hard work of Pyramid Construction Services, LLC, this amazing project has transformed a 5-acre lot—formerly the Phoenix Steel Corporation mill—that welcomes veterans who are homeless or in need.
What’s Included:
• 15 Tiny Homes, each featuring a personal bed, bathroom, desk, countertops, and closet space.
• A 6,500 sq ft Community Building offering nourishing meals, access to behavioral and physical therapy, and employment opportunities.
Triad’s Role: We’re proud to have supported this project with geotechnical exploration and construction QC testing, ensuring the safety and quality of earthwork, concrete, asphalt paving, and stormwater management.
Challenges Overcome: From removing old steel mill foundations to handling heavy steel slag debris, our team navigated various challenges to help make this vision a reality.
