Triad, along with sub-consultant RK&K, was retained to provide consultant inspection services for a portion of the Route 9 upgrade in Jefferson County, West Virginia. Services involved all aspects of construction inspection and management, including documentation of daily activities for the prime contractor, monitoring of earthwork construction, drilled pier construction, installation of storm drain pipe and structures, and MSE abutment and retaining walls. Due to the qualifications of the Triad and RK&K personnel assigned to the project, it was possible to provide the services with fewer inspectors, thereby resulting in considerable savings to the Department of Transportation. Actual invoicing was approximately 60% of the budget, with construction of this section now complete. Triad was awarded the 2005 Engineering Excellence Award from the West Virginia Division of Highways for its Construction Inspection services for this project.
