Principal Engineer and Corporate Secretary

Mr. Moulton has been involved in the geotechnical consulting engineering field for 40 years. He graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1976 and started Graduate School as a Teaching Fellow. He left in 1978 to join Triad Engineering, Inc. in Morgantown, WV and completed his Master of Science in Civil Engineering for Geotechnical Engineering in 1980. He advanced to Senior Engineer in 1987, and in 1989, he moved to Winchester, VA to assume the Branch Manager position. He served as President and CEO of Triad from 2005 until 2011 when he stepped down to focus more on technical matters. Mr. Moulton is currently Principal Engineer and Corporate Secretary for Triad, serving on the Board of Directors, providing technical review for the firm’s geotechnical practice and overseeing overall risk management. Randy is an active member of the CoMET Committee with the Geoprofessional Business Association (GBA) and a member of the WVU CEE Visiting Committee. Mr. Moulton was inducted into the West Virginia Academy of Civil Engineers in April 2018.
