Principal Engineer or Engineering Manager

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for directing multiple project managers in the overall execution of multiple projects and/or contracts. Establishes, promotes, and assures quality on all projects and work performed by department staff. Monitors project production and schedules to ensure projects are completed on schedule. Performs technical and coordination checking of project documents.
  • Minimum Training: Appropriate number of years of progressive experience under Principal and/or other Engineering Manager
  • Certification: Licensed P.E. or Professional Licensing in Appropriate Field
  • Minimum Education: BS in Engineering or Related Science Field; Advanced Degree Desirable
  • Experience: 8+ Years

Senior Engineer

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Administers contracts. Leads and directs technical projects with overall responsibility for technical accuracy and appropriateness. Manages/ solves technically complex problems. Uses advanced techniques, theory, precepts and practices. Plans, coordinates and directs larger and more important engineering projects or projects with many complex features.
  • Minimum Training: Appropriate number of years of progressive experience under Principal and/or other Senior Engineers
  • Certification: Licensed P.E.
  • Minimum Education: BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology; Advanced Degree Desirable
  • Experience: 8+ Years

Project Engineer

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Plans, schedules, conducts, and/or coordinates detailed phases of assigned project work. Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on moderately complex projects. Makes design recommendations, adaptations, and modifications. Prepares reports and correspondence concerning assigned projects.
  • Minimum Training: Appropriate number of years of relevant progressive experience under Senior Engineer
  • Certification: E.I. Eligible to take P.E. Exam
  • Minimum Education: BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • Experience: 4 Years

Staff Engineer

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Under regular supervision and review, and using prescribed methods, assists more senior personnel by performing routine engineering calculations and design using specialized technical skills, experience and engineering judgment. Prepares draft correspondence, technical specifications and reports for review by more senior staff.
  • Minimum Training: Appropriate number of years of relevant progressive experience under Project Engineer level or higher
  • Certification: None required at this level
  • Minimum Education: BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • Experience: 2 years

Senior CADD Designer/Drafter

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Visualizes and plans the graphic presentation of complex items having distinctive design features. May recommend minor design changes to designers or engineers. Works closely with senior staff to obtain project information and ensure drawings are accurate and complete.
  • Minimum Training: Appropriate number of years of relevant progressive experience under engineering staff or other Senior CADD
  • Certification: None required
  • Minimum Education: HS Diploma; Technical school CADD training desirable
  • Experience: 5+ Years

Principal Geologist or Environmental Manager

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for directing multiple project managers in the overall execution of multiple projects and/or contracts.   • Minimum Education: BS in Geology or Related Science Field; Advanced Degree Desirable

Senior Geologist

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Under limited review by management personnel, the employee plans, performs and oversees all technical and management aspects of multiple assignments. Oversees and prepares written reports for delivery to client. Reviews work performed by staff and project level personnel
  • Minimum Training: Appropriate number of years of progressive experience under Principal and/or other Senior Geologists
  • Certification: Professional Registration or License in Geology
  • Minimum Education: BS in Geology
  • Experience: 8+ Years

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Using relatively routine methods and approaches, the employee performs and oversees all aspects of routine geologic assignments. Regularly responsible for supervision of all professional and field staff on a specific project. Oversees and prepares written reports for review by senior staff and delivery to client.
  • Minimum Training: Appropriate number of years of relevant progressive experience under Senior Geologist
  • Certification: Eligible to take exam for Professional Registration or License in Geology
  • Minimum Education: BS in Geology
  • Experience: 4 Years

Reports information obtained and observations made to more senior personnel for interpretation. Prepares figures, sketches, and written reports to project manager in support of field data collected.

  • Certification: None required at this level
  • Minimum Education: BS in Geology
  • Experience: 2 Years

Senior Environmental Scientist / Biologist

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Under limited review by management personnel, the employee plans, performs and oversees all technical and management aspects of multiple assignments. Oversees and prepares written reports for delivery to client. Reviews work performed by staff and project level personnel.
  • Minimum Training: Appropriate number of years of progressive experience under Principal and/or other Senior Scientists
  • Certification: Professional registration or license in field of assignment when available.
  • Minimum Education: BS in Biology, Environmental Science or other discipline appropriate to the assignment.
  • Experience: 8+ Years

Project Environmental Scientist

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Using relatively routine methods and approaches, the employee performs and oversees all aspects of routine environmental assignments. Coring Crew

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Crew consists of a Senior Engineering Technician and an Engineering Technician or Drill Helper. Duties simply involve coring through asphalt or concrete.
  • Minimum Training: Minimal training consisting of instruction on how to operate coring machine
  • Certification: None required
  • Minimum Education: HS Diploma
  • Experience: N/A

Field Services Manager

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for directing multiple projects and/or contracts. Assures quality on all projects and work performed by department staff. Monitors project production and schedules to ensure projects are completed on schedule. Performs technical checking of project documents. Provides staff with critical or expert technical advice as necessary.
  • Minimum Training: Appropriate number of years of relevant progressive experience in materials testing, inspection and personnel management
  • Certification: Certifications in multiple materials testing techniques and inspection disciplines as required, e.g., ICC, BOCA, NICET, etc.
  • Minimum Education: BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology. Experience or other factors may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Experience: 8+ Years

Senior Engineering Technician

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Fully qualified technician capable of performing both routine and nonroutine quality control tests with little supervision. May also perform field work for other company disciplines. Fully knowledgeable of company standards, plans and specifications. Capable of interpreting project plans and specifications. Ability to train and supervise other inspectors.
  • Minimum Training: Appropriate number of years of relevant progressive experience in materials testing and inspection.
  • Certification: Minimum of two (2) certifications in materials testing techniques and/or inspection disciplines
  • Minimum Education: HS Diploma. Construction related training, technical training, or limited post-secondary education desirable.
  • Experience: 5+ Years

Licensed Surveyor

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for directing multiple projects and/or contracts. Establishes, promotes, and assures quality on all projects and work performed by department staff. Monitors project production and schedules to ensure projects are completed on schedule. Performs technical checking of project documents.
  • Minimum Training: Appropriate number of years of relevant progressive experience in all aspects of land surveying.
  • Certification: Professional surveyor license
  • Minimum Education: Associate degree in surveying, engineering, or related discipline. Experience or other factors may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Experience: 8+ Years

Senior Survey Technician

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the daily supervision of field crews and the coordination of field survey work. Performs computations and prepares electronic data for layout work. Performs quality control checks on field data obtained by field crews. May prepare plats of surveys for review and sealing by Licensed Surveyor.
  • Minimum Training: Appropriate progressive work experience on a survey crew, including two years as a Crew Chief. Also, work under Licensed Surveyor.
  • Certification: Professional surveyor license desirable
  • Minimum Education: HS Diploma. Post-secondary technical training in surveying, including two-year associate degree or technology degree is desirable.
  • Experience: 6 Years

2-Man Field Crew

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Crew includes Party Chief and Instrument Technician. Crew Chief ensures field activities are performed in accordance with company standard procedures, standards set by applicable state statutes, and the American Congress of Surveying and Mapping. Supervises use of equipment, preparation of sketches and notes, and electronic data collection. Communicates as necessary with professional office staff regarding projects.
  • Minimum Training: Crew Chief - Appropriate progressive work experience on a survey crew, including two years as an Instrument Technician.
  • Certification: Professional surveyor license desirable
  • Minimum Education: Crew Chief - HS Diploma. Post-secondary technical training in surveying, including two-year associate degree or technology degree is desirable.
  • Experience: 4 Years

3-Man Field Crew

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Crew includes Party Chief, Instrument Technician and Rodman.
  • Minimum Training: See 2-Man Field Crew
  • Certification: See 2-Man Field Crew
  • Minimum Education: See 2-Man Field Crew
  • Experience: 4 Years

Clerical

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Represents the company in initial telephone and on-premise contact by providing routine information and direction to callers and visitors. Performs general clerical duties such as typing and filing.
  • Minimum Training: N/A
  • Certification: N/A
  • Minimum Education: HS Diploma
  • Experience: N/A
